Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei Iranian information minister along with Mehdi Mofidi head of IDRO (Idustrial Development and Renovation Organisation) of Iran visited the production lines of Iran Khodro Industrial Group.

Mohseni Ejei among IKCO senior managers said, “The company has specialized a suitable position with the good investment and recruitment of expertise manpower and IKCO’s activities as a reputable company in design and car production has a pivot role in economical and industrial development.”

Considering IKCO’s products are competitive in the global markets, he said, “We support any investment in the company and also the private sector for development of Iran’s national brand beyond the borders.”

He evaluated positive the export approach of IKCO’s products in the global markets and added, “IKCO can have a firm presence in world’s areas through development of its activities in the field of research, and design of new products.”

Considering fair price, quality and different products are the key success of companies survival in international markets and stated, “Iran Khodro provides long-term strategies and thought of Iranian youths in order to go for growth.”

Dr.Manouchehr Manteghi IKCO president and CEO reported the performance of the company for the audience.”

He added, “2300000 passenger cars are produced and sent to local and overseas markets and the company plans to provide a 10-year strategy in order to globalize and stabilize its position in the international markets.”

Information minister accompanying with the head of IDRO and IKCO senior managers paid a visit to robotic lines of press, body, paint, engine mfg and assembly shops.

Soran is extremely welcomed by world's reporters and specialists at 12th China international Auto Show.

On the first day of the show, more than 700 reporters from 40 countries of the world and a number of European and Asian specialists paid a visit of the achievements of 27 carmakers of the world.

At the Auto Show, Samand Soran and LX were displayed along with vehicles including Benz, BMW, Citroen, Toyota, Honda, Peugeot, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Nissan, Cherry, Fiat, Ford, Jaguar and Kiamotors.



Iran Khodro Industrial Group has a stable position at the show in regard with China's extensive market and a mighty position of giant carmakers in China's car market.

Parviz Kazemi the president of Iran Khodro Investment Development Co. described the latest achievements of Iran Khodro Industrial Group in the field of design, production and export for journalists in a media conference.

It is noteworthy that the 12th China's Shanghai International Auto Show would be launched in the presence of senior industrial officials of the country.

On the basis of the formal statistics, the rate of production and sales of China's car was 7m units in the last year.

Iran Khodro Khorasan moves in line with 20-year Iran’s economical view.

Dr.Manouchehr Manteghi IKCO president and CEO at a ceremony of launching some important projects at IKKCO said, "Having one percent share in global market, yearly export of 600000 cars and $10bn car parts are the basic factors of the above strategy by 2015-2016."



He stated, "Development of automotive industry and car part making with the investment of private sector are the ways towards 20-year IKCO’s strategy."

Considering the outlook of IKCO’s activity, he stated, "Iran Khodro Khorasan will be an export base to CIS countries, east of Caspian Sea, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh and in the near future the site for production car parts in proximity of Iran Khodro Khorasan will be established."

Manteghi added, "Azerbaijan, Belarus, Venezuela and Syria are developed via using the local technologies in Iran Khodro Khorasan."

Iran Khodro Industrial Group will showcase Samand at Iran's special Auto Show in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.

It will be held by IDRO (Idustrial Development and Renovation Organisation) of Iran in order to stabilize its position in the market of Venezeula.

The Auto Show will be open to the public from 15 April 2007 for one week and reputable industrial and economical companies will display their goods.

IKCO will offer Samand and Samand LX in a stand of 150000 square metres.

It is noteworthy Iran Khodro participated at Caracas International Auto Show two years ago for the first time and Venezuelan economical and industrial officials indicated their willingness for production of Iran's national brand in their country.

Samand production plant in Venezuela called Sentaro, legendary horse, implemented in November 2006 which is one of the most important projects beyond the borders of Iran Khodro.

Samand production plant in China will be implemented by the end of March 2008 with the nominal capacity of 30000 units per year.

Dr. Manouchehr Manteghi IKCO president and CEO said, "In the development plan of Samand production plant in China, it has the capability to be raised to 120000 units." Considering the investment rate is $60mln, he declared, "At this project, the share of Iran Khodro is 30 percent and the other investment holds by the Chinese Company."

The executive operations of Samand production line in China begun at Tayan city in Shendong province and the plant will be implemented during 18 months, according to Manteghi."

Claiming the most important rivals of Iran Khodro in China's car market are Southern Korea's Hyundai, China's Cherry and German VW, he said, "At this plant, Samand LX, and new models of the car will be produced on the basis of environmental standards and the tastes of Chinese customers."

The fourth site of Iran Khodro Industrial Group in overseas was opened on Thursday 8 March 2007 in the presence of the first deputy of Iranian president, industry and mining ministry of Iran, IKCO president and CEO and the high ranking officials of Syria in Damascus.

Dr. Aref Norouzi senior vice president of IKCO said,"At the first phase of this plant, 10 thousand units of Samand called "Shaam" will be produced and presented to the market of Syria."

He added, "Samand plant in Syria has the capability to increase to 30 thousand units per year and it is the base for exporting Samand to the market of Middle East countries."
Claiming the technology transfer, design of the plant, equipping the lines, supervising the production execution, making and providing machineries and equipment of production lines for three shops including body, paint and final assembly are the most important responsibilities of Iran Khodro at this design.

Samand production plant in Syria was opened on Thursday 8 March 2007 in the presence of Syrian president Bashar Assad, Parviz Davoudi the first deputy of Iranian president, industry ministers of two countries and IKCO president and CEO.

Bashar Assad Syrian president in an opening ceremony of SIAMCO plant said, “The opening of the plant boosts the economical and political relations of the government and nation of two countries more than any time”

Considering Samand “Shaam” is a step toward Syrai’s industrialization, he said, “The production of Samand “Shaam” is a gift for Syrian people in Syria’s independence day celebration.”

He declared, “Syria is interested to use of the experiences of Iran especially in automotive industry.”

Parviz Davoudi first deputy of Iranian president said, “Joint Syrian-Iranian car venture is a symbol of boosting relations between two countries and it can be a template for Islamic countries.”

He mentioned, “Iran is prepared to present its valuable achievements and accomplishments in different scientific and industrial fields to Syrian government.”

He added, “The inauguration of Samand production line in Syria as the first production car plant in Arab world has a great importance for two countries.”

Alireza Tahmasbi Iran’s industry and mining minister said, “The targets of engineering and technical export has been predicted by establishment of production sites in different countries and Iran Khodro will play a pivot role in this regard.”

He stated, “We believe that we must emphasize on national brands and on its basis we are doing a great stride in this regard.”

Tahmasbi said, “On the basis of Iran’s economical view, the export of car and part export will reach more than $20bn.”

IKCO president and CEO Dr.Manouchehr Manteghi said, “Iran will play a pivot role in Arabic countries by establishment Samand production plant in Syria.”

He continued, “The value added of Syria will be increased by Samand production and definitely Iran can accelerate the route of industrialization with the support of Iran Khodro.”

Mojtaba Shivapour SIAMCO head of board of directors said, “There is a brilliant future for auto industry especially Syrian car part making.”

He continued, “After completing the second and third phases of Samand production plant in Syria, 30 thousand units will be produced in order to export to the other regional countries in addition to domestic market.”

At the end of ceremony, the high-ranking officials of two countries paid a visit to Samand production line in Syria and Syrian president and Iranian industry and mining minister drove Samand “Shaam” of this plant.
